Meghamalai – Thekkady

Meghamalai is a beautiful, like heaven, mountain range situated in Theni district, Tamil Nadu. This place is at an elevation of 1500 m above the sea level. The natural beauty of this place can’t able to describe in words. It was a two day trip and we already booked rooms at Kumily to save some time finding a stay. We started our ride in six bikes from Trivandrum. On the way we visited one hill top and thekkady. There is a temple at the top of hill and its beautiful to watch the entire place from the top of that hill. We reached Kumly at noon and took some rest and food. Then went to Thekkady and enjoyed the beauty of nature and took some pictures. Then we went to watch grape farm, canal and other places around there. Then we went back to our rooms at night after taking food. Next day early morning we started our ride to the main destination, Meghamalai. Road condition to Meghamalai was very Pathetic. The off-road ride through the different terrain in the forest was adventurous. Nearly 40 km we ride through the forest and took some pictures. Those pics will show how much beauty Meghamalai has! Many dams and tea estates are there in the forest. We enjoyed the beautiful view of tea plantation, rolling hills, and cool mountains. At evening we returned to our rooms and packed things, then vacated the rooms. We returned to our homes at night.
